RISE is looking for volunteers for a number of current projects. The projects and the types of volunteers we would like are listed below. Please write to us at RISE.SaintLucia@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer. Thank you for your help!
Projects - Visionaries After School Program – Volunteers are needed for the after school program at Sir Ira Simmons Secondary School on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The areas covered in the program are math, journalism, arts, crafts and sports. Please indicate which days and subjects you are available to help with. We especially need volunteers to help with the football team!
- Dress to Impress – Do you have good fashion sense? RISE and NSDC are opening a boutique for low income youth who need professional clothing for interviews and jobs. We need some fashionistas to manage the boutique and help people pick out outfits. We could also use donations of gently used professional clothing and accessories (handbags, scarves, shoes, etc.) to stock the boutique with.
- Speakers – We have moved into our new space in Gablewoods Mall, Sunny Acres and would like to have some engaging workshops here. Please let us know if you have a topic or skill you would like to present.
